Mediamatic organises four public lectures and presentations about games and game culture as part of the Mediamatic workshop Games-in-Crossmedia at the Cinekid festival.

Artists, game designers and media makers will present the latest possibilities for crossmedia projects in game development.

Computer games are no longer only pre-programmed experiences, many games provide tools which allow players to be transformed into makers and design their own worlds and stories.Friedrich Kirschner (D) and Daniel van Gils (NL) are two highly creative makers, each of whom has their own way of playing with game technology. In these presentations they will offer an overview of various ways in which game technology is used.

These readings form the kick off for the Mediamatic workshop Games-in-Crossmedia @ Cinekid. Also non-workshop participants can join this public presentation.
