We invite you to submit films for the following competitions:
competition features
The third edition of the international competition for feature-length animation films.
competition shorts
International competition in the categories narrative and non-narrative.
competition European student films
Open for all European films produced at art and film academies, or comparable studies.
competition Dutch animation
Open only for Dutch productions: features, shorts, student films,TV films and commisioned films (features, shorts and student films can also enter the international competitions through the same entry form). In 2013 HAFF launches a Grand Prize for Dutch animation. Previously a successful competition for the audience award, now a committed jury watches the contenders as well and grants an award for the best Dutch student film and an award for the best Dutch film overall.
How to apply
The entry form for all competitions is available at www.haff.nl. To apply a film for HAFF 2013 you need to create your own MyHAFF account (or use your existing account). You will find all information at haff.nl.

Meld je aan voor de HAFF masterclass concept cooker 2013

In de masterclass Animation Concept Cooker (ACC) ontwikkel je onder begeleiding van twee gerenommeerde animatiefilmmakers twee ideeën voor een korte animatiefilm uit tot een concept. Een sterk concept is van buitengewoon groot belang voor een succesvolle animatiefilm, maar is een van de moeilijkste onderdelen van het hele creatieve proces. Reden voor het festival en het Nederlands Filmfonds om aan het ontwikkelen van animatieconcepten bijzonder aandacht te geven en jonge animatiefilmmakers in de gelegenheid te stellen om hun ideeën te toetsen en een stap verder te brengen.
De ACC bestaat uit vier bijeenkomsten van elk twee dagdelen (25 januari-18 maart 2013) en wordt afgesloten tijdens het HAFF (20-24 maart 2013) met een meet & greet met Nederlandse animatieproducenten.
De eigen bijdrage voor deelnemers is slechts 140 euro (inclusief lunch en passepartout HAFF 20-24 maart 2013, exclusief BTW).
