Het ID3000 festival draait om de clash tussen subculturen en nieuwe technologie.
ID3000 is bedoeld als een jaarlijks terugkerend evenement waarbij internationaal toptalent zich komt meten met Nederlandse sparringpartners in een high tech setting.

Het thema van de eerste editie van het ID3000 Festival is: I Am The Revolution.

De volgende artiesten -afkomstig uit Nederland, Italië, Chili en Brazilië- hebben hun deelname
aan ID3000 bevestigd:
C-Mon & Kypski, La Melodia, SHOE (o.a. gastdocentschap Universiteit van
San Francsico), DELTA, Zender, MACHINE (artwork for a.o. Rushhour records), JAWAT, PARRA (o.a. Nike, Heineken, Bitterzoet), EVENI, 2THINGS (video, 3-D animaties en postproduction for o.a. Anouk), HANAZUKI (Nokia, Nike e.a.), Niko Stumpo, UBI, Keko, dj Shablo (Olympic Games Italië openings), Mr. Speak (Paradiso, Bitterzoet, Jimmy Woo), dj Eduardo (Que Pasa Melkweg, Contrabanda Paradiso), dj Mickster (Now&Wow), Dancestreet (onder leiding van Valerie Valentine, Robert KGB en studenten van de Rietveld Academie in het kader van een afstudeerproject van Johannes Verwoerd.

Op ID3000 laten deze artiesten zien waarom juist zij zijn uitgekozen om de strijd aan te gaan met de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van audiovisuele- en nieuwe media technologie. Hierin hebben zij volledige artistieke vrijheid.

DAD - DIGITALE ART DIRECTIE - NOORDELIJK FILM FESTIVAL

Kijk wat er broeit, borrelt en bruist in de filmhoofden van een nieuwe generatie.

Werp een blik in die branding van film, gamedesign en kunst. In DAD zijn de ideeën zichtbaar van de generatie die experimenteert met digitale technieken. Digitale Art Directie maakt spectaculaire effecten mogelijk, realistische simulaties, en levert nieuwe beeldtaal op. Wilde games, Flash dingen, 3d movies, megademo, scherpe motion graphics of videoclip. Kijken naar wat Art Directors In de Dop daarmee doen is spannend en inspirerend voor makers en kijkers. Naast filmvertoningen zijn er workshops, presentaties en een discussie over filmcultuur. Alle DAD activiteiten zijn gratis toegankelijk.

PROGRAMMA DAD - DONDERDAG 9 t/m ZATERDAG 11 NOVEMBER 2006

DAD is een Open Podium waarvoor iedereen kan insturen. Daarnaast zijn er blokken films van studenten van diverse kunstvakopleidingen, waarin goed te zien is hoe deze experimenteren met de enorme hoeveelheid mogelijkheden.

Ook producten gemaakt door studenten van Kunst en Techniek zijn te zien tijdens de DAD vertoningen.

MACHINIMA AFTERNOON
Lectures about the upcoming world of machinima movie making; an
introduction, a talk on the political side of machinima, example movies, the
demo-scene and of course the awards ceremony for the machinima competition
organized by HAFF, VIRMA and Mediamatic.
All will take place TOMORROW at the Holland Animation Fim Festival in
Theater de Kikker, Ganzemarkt 14, Utrecht.

WORKSHOP MAKE YOUR OWN WEARABLE!
With the help of Massimo Banzi, one of the co-founders of Arduino, you will
create your own game-of life t-shirt or interactive tough-glove using the
Arduino-microcontroller and some basic electronics.
Within three days time, learn about microcontrollers, sensors and actuators,
Arduino; create a wearable, get experience in soldering and basic
electronics.

WORKSHOP RFID & THE INTERNET OF THINGS
RFID & The Internet of Things is a workshop for a maximum of 16 designers
and artists who want to learn more about RFID and its possible (cultural)
effects and uses.
In this workshop you?ll make your own prototype where the virtual and the
real world come together by using rfid tools. You can try out the rfid
technology and develop first layouts of possible applications, alternative
uses and hacks.

WORKSHOP ANY MEDIA DOCUMENTARY @ IDFA
Makers of creative documentaries need to come to terms with an explosion of
existing new media channels and practices, in terms of conceiving, producing
as well as publishing documentary projects.
In this workshop we?ll look at the possibilities of new media from the point
of view of a documentary author, and all participants develop a prototype of
a many media documentary.
